In the year 2008, at Bajar Hatnur, Adilabad, Venkatesh was feeling on top of the world as he had just completed his Bachelor in Science from a good college. He was looking forward to a decent job with good status. But as weeks turned to months and months to nearly a year, gradually his hopes began to lose their shine, as company after company refused to give him any job stating that he did not have any work experience. The funny part was that he being a fresher could not find a job as he did not have work experience, and he could not get work experience without first getting a job. This was for him a “Chicken and Egg” situation! For the last six month he had been running from pillar to post and in exasperation had also registered himself with the Employment Exchange at Hyderabad. But even after a wait of six months, there was not a single offer from the Employment exchange too. His visits to the Employment exchange gave him more heartburn, as the officers will neglect him and will give him bureaucratic answers after waiting for hours. Also every visit to the Employment Exchange from his Bajar Hatnur in Adilabad District, meant an expenditure of Rs 300 on Bus fare and food expenses. Government has started NREGA, the Employment Guarantee scheme for rural youth but it was the labour work, while he wanted a job with status and career path. Here was the catch. He was getting what he did not want, and could not get what he wanted. In this despondent mood, he spoke to his friend Krishna from Ranga Reddy District who studied in the same school with Venkatesh at Adilabad. Krishna had taken up a job as supervisor with a construction company engaged in the Road Construction. Krishna told him that in spite of the fact that he was just educated up to the 12th standard, a company named Pipal Tree Ventures (PTVPL), had provided for his month long training with lodging and full boarding. PTVPL had also arranged for the necessary loan for the training fees from Basix, and then had also placed him with the Construction Company at Rajasthan. Venkatesh wondered why luck was so hard on him while it smiled on his less educated friend Krishna! On prodding Krishna further, he told Venkatesh that this was not the case of good fortune, but depended on his taking up the offer of training and job placement that PTVPL extended. On being encouraged by Krishna, Venkatesh also approached PTVPL’s office-cum-training-center at Hyderabad. He spoke to Leenesh on his Phone no. 9393086609 (Mobile) and 08415-201311, 08415-201322, 08415-201411 (Office) to ask him what he should do if he decided to undergo that training. There he was told that the Registration fees for the supervisory training were only Rs. 3000 and the fees for the training course itself was Rs. 25000.
